A native of Seneca, SC, he moved to Wilson in June of 2000 from Muncie, Indiana where he had ministered for the previous 4 years. While in Muncie, Pastor Davis ministered at the Grace Baptist Church where he served as an assistant pastor. He had responsibilities in youth ministries, Sunday School, visitation and outreach, and senior citizens' ministry. While in Muncie, he gained invaluable experience working under Dr. Collins Glenn, the president of the Indiana Association of Christian Schools, and board member of the Fundamental Baptist Fellowship and Baptist World Mission. Since arriving at Tabernacle Baptist Church, Pastor Davis has launched several new ministry initiatives. He is currently revamping the Sunday School with the vision of making it the focal point of ministry and outreach. He is establishing a philosophy of team ministry with a goal of everyone in the church involved in some capacity of service. Jeff Davis was called as Pastor of Tabernacle Baptist Church in June of
2000. Pastor Davis brings youthful enthusiasm blended with practical experience.
He has served as an assistant pastor at the 
David and Jen DeLand have been active members at Tabernacle for the past seven years. When Pastor Mike Talhelm, our youth pastor, left in August, they graciously stepped in to help with our youth program. They have a great staff of youth leaders assisting them. David and Jen are both graduates of Bob Jones University. Both of them work at Wilson Christian Academy. David teaches math and serves as High School Counselor. Jen is in charge of all of the technology and is the web designer for WCA.
